The Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) is having a Year End Challenge. They have until the 31st of December to raise up to $20,000 which will be matched by two anonymous foundations. That means up to $40,000 could be raised.
For those of you who do not know, the TSA works worldwide to preserve endangered species, conduct field research, promote conservation efforts and share their knowledge with others in the turtle and tortoise world. A great organization! Please consider donating to help them meet their fundraising goals! Remember a $5.00 donation will equal a matched $5.00 donation for a total $10 donation!
Tomas Diagne, chair of TSA Africa and founder of the African Chelionian Institute, will be speaking about his work in Africa on helping to conserve the sulcata tortoise. A tortoise that here in the United States is quickly becoming a difficult problem for rescue groups such as ours.
This is being held at a private residence, so an RSVP is required to attend.
